EKL Export partners with smallholder farming communities in the Boeny, Melaky, and Menabe regions — Madagascar’s prime cashew belt along the western coast. Cashew trees grow naturally in this dry, sun-drenched savanna climate, producing nuts with an exceptionally high kernel-to-shell ratio and a naturally rich fat content.

Madagascar cashews are prized for their creamy, full-bodied flavor, delicate sweetness, and firm yet melt-in-the-mouth texture. Larger kernels yield a richer fat profile, making them ideal for premium snacking, confectionery, and culinary applications.

Processing and professional use
From hand-harvested nut to export-ready kernel.
After harvest, cashew apples are separated from the raw nuts on the same day. The nuts are sun-dried, then shelled using a combination of manual and semi-mechanical techniques to preserve kernel integrity. Kernels are steam-pasteurized, peeled, graded by size and grade, and packed in nitrogen-flushed vacuum-sealed cartons to guarantee freshness on arrival.
Certification and traceability
EKL Export guarantees full batch traceability from farm to shipping container, using a QR code–based tracking system and rigorous quality controls at harvest, processing, and packaging stages.
HACCP compliance ensured on every shipment. Conventional grade (non-organic).
